JAX N JOE X Chien Mondain

October lovers

Happy Hump Day everyone! Today on the blog, something a bit more personnal. I present to you the result of my engagement session. I wanted to share them with you all because I’m very pleased with the result because they’re simply beautiful (a huge thank you to Vanessa).

We took these pictures a few weeks ago. We wanted to take advantage of the golden light of late afternoon. The leaves were falling and the river flowing along the trail have created a super romantic atmosphere for our photo session. I couldn’t ask for anything better; the perfect decor, a beautiful day of October and the two men of my life.

We’ve decided to include in our engagement photos our baby boy, Oscar. He took his role very seriously (and how photogenic is he?). I’ve even decided to order a custom wood sign for him that I buy from Etsy. I think it’s a sweet idea to incorporate your pet in your engagement session.

The time is running out and the July 2 will arrive quickly. I’m sooo excited, but I fully enjoy this important step in my life. I’m such a planner and a organizer so I’m pretty sure everything will be ready for the wedding (even if I don’t sleep). We used these beautiful shoots for our Save the date cards that we send to our guests. This engagement shoot is gorgeous and it will be a great souvenir that will last forever.

Extra large scarf

Happy Thursday ! Just a short and sweet post on this rainy day to share with you a really simple and casual look. This is the kind of look that I love to wear on a daily basis. Even if my closet is full of clothes, I’m always getting back to the basics. Indeed, we can’t never go wrong in choosing an outfit like this one. When I’m getting ready for office, for a school day or for a shopping spree, I usualy want to be comfortable. This is why I’m sharing with you my «signature look». I opted for classy black pants from Zara that I totally l-o-v-e. Apart from being super stretch, they’re high-waisted (the perfect match)! I always choose a tee or a  sweater that will keep me warm and I add an extra large scarf (I have a thing for plaid..!). I love huge wrap scarves, they’re so massive and oversized. They will keep you warm and comfy this winter while staying trendy.

Shades of gray

Happy Hump Day or happy tree weeks before Halloween (I looove Halloween)! I hope you passed a great Thanksgiving weekend and that you’re enjoying the cold weather of October. I actually do enjoy this chilly weather!

As gray is one of my favourite color, I decided to share with you an all gray outfit. Every pieces of this outfit is sooo comfy. This is such a fab color because you can wear it to get a pj’s look but you can also look really classy wearing gray. So I choose a simple soft knit pencil skirt. Super comfortable because the fabric is really stretch, this skirt is a must-have in your wardrobe!

I’m wearing it with a simple tank top and a beautiful maxi cardigan. I’m a relatively new fan of maxi cardigan and this one is a really good purchase. It will keep you warm and trendy for the winter season. What about this amazing studded bag that complete the outfit perfectly.. As I said before, I love every single pieces of this outfit.

Burgundy mania

Hello guys! I can’t believe October is already here! The leaves are starting to chance color and it’s beautiful outside. Today on the blog, a lovely and feminine look for fall mixing burgundy and lace.  I love burgundy because it’s goes with every other color like black, camel and grey. It’s such a dark, rich and stylish color to wear and what about lace. I’m wearing lace all year long, it’s my favorite fabric and I think that you can’t NEVER go wrong with a nice lace blouse.

Dressed in head-to-toe Zara (are you surprise?) ! I just found a few beautiful pieces for fall at Zara. These high waist trousers fit perfectly and I was pleasantly surprised because they’re sooo comfy. I love wearing them with this little lace top, a pretty pair of burgundy high hells and a dark lipstick.

Goodbye summer, hello fall

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend so far! I’m sooo sorry, it’s been a long time since I posted on the blog because I’ve been a little more than busy during the last few weeks.  If you’re following me on Instagram or on Facebook, you must know the big new I’m engageeed ! That’s why I don’t take the time to post on the blog.. but I’m back and I have a lot of looks to share with you for fall.

It’s definitely my favourite season! For the beautiful weather, the comfort food but also for the fashion. Fall fashion trends are the best! Today I’m sharing with you a denim and fur look. Denim was really popular this summer and it’s still trendy for fall. I just add a little faux fur vest to complete the outfit and it’s so lovely. It’s the perfect outfit for a sunny day of September but I can’t wait for the cold weather to wear a comfy sweater and a extra large scarf. By then, let’s enjoy the last warm days that this beautiful September is giving to us.

Marciano fall collection

Wearing the Behati faux-leather fringe skirt with the Daria blouse in black and the Bobbie pump

Wearing the Britannia dress in black with the Lana blanket coat and the Bobbie pump

Wearing the Britannia dress in Port Wine with the Camille fringe leather jacket and the Bianca bootie

TGIF guys!  I hope that you had a wonderful week! It was a back to school one for me for this first week of September and the beginning of my last year at university. It hasn’t been that hard because I had an exciting activity listed in my planner for Thursday night.

Indeed, last evening I have attended to an event at Marciano at Place Ste-Foy, Québec. It was an other great event organized by the Marciano team where the loyal customers were invited to visit the store to discover and to shop the new fall 2015 collection. A festive ambiance and a memorable evening like every events planned by the Marciano team. We are always well received on these evenings; surprises, delicious snacks and cocktails were offered to bring the shopping experience to the next level.

The new collection is totally stunning. They received a few beautiful pieces in burgundy and I looove this color for fall. I tried a few outfits and I finally choose a breathtaking long sleeves dress but the three outfits that I picked up were amazing, especially the long nude coat. We love Marciano because their clothing are classy, chic and high-quality. Can't wait to see the next collection!

The fishtail braid

Happy Saturday everyone! Today, I’m presenting you an other hairstyle that is easy and quick to reproduce. In collaboration with my long-time friend and hairstylist Charles-Antoine Bussière, we have prepared this little tutorial for you.

The fishtail braid is relly trendy, pretty and romantic. They can look elegant or messy depending on how you are wearing it. I really love this look that can seems a little bit intimidating, but with a good technique and after a few tries you will be really good at it. There’s a lot of ways to wear it, today we are proposing you this one..

First of all, you will have to curl your hair and then you can divide your hair in two large sections (make a centre parting). Then you have to take two hair strands from your hairline and start braiding. Now you will have to take a small strands from the back of one of your two sections and you have to pull it over the other one.

Repeat the process with the second section and keep alterning sides while adding hair strands (if you want the look of the french braid).

Make an other braid on the other side of your head and join the two braids at the back of your head.

Tie off the end and that’s it ! You have a simple and lovely look for the busy mornings. You can also take a few strands out of the braids to have a more messy and relax look.

Thank to my amazing friend !
With love
